Healthy, radiant and youthful skin. That’s something that every woman has been striving towards since olden times.
Revolving around the concept of providing self-care and self-regeneration beauty remedies for women, The History of Whoo reinterpreted the traditional beauty formulas used by empresses from the Eastern Royal Courts and through modern technologies, developed various skincare and makeup lines that are fit for a Queen.
Thanks to premium Korean skincare range, The History of Whoo, I’m one step closer to royalty, and I have nothing but raves after using The History of Whoo for the past two weeks! Read on to find out more about my experience with The History of Whoo, and find out how to redeem a complimentary Bichup Ja Saeng Essence Experience Kit to try it for yourself!
The History Of Whoo is just a few months old in Singapore, but here’s an interesting fact: LG Household & Healthcare was commissioned by the National Government of Korea to create a luxury skincare brand that fully embodies the Korean traditions, thus developed and launched The History of Whoo in Korea in 2003!
The History of Whoo celebrated the launch of their first flagship counter at TANGS (Tang Plaza)!
I went down for a quick consultation at TANGS, where I was introduced to the concept behind The History of Whoo, with its strong emphasis on the use of premium eastern medicinal herbal ingredients in their patented and signature herbal complexes that enables skin cell self-regeneration for powerful and effective anti-aging benefits.
I fell in love with the brand at first sight! Regal, elegant and beautiful packaging that every woman would covet!
The colors purple and gold are used as they are the colors of royalty. This is the Hwanyu symbolic line that is the most premium of all the ranges!
One of The History of Whoo‘s star product, Bichup Ja Saeng Essence, a limited edition that’s adorned with motifs and encrusted with embellishments.
These gorgeously-packaged lip products had me lusting after them!
There are many different ranges available at The History of Whoo, depending on your skin type and needs.
After my consultation, I brought home the Gongjinhyang range: A preventive anti-aging suited for 25 years old and above. You’re never too young to start caring for your skin and slow down signs of aging!
Of course, apart from the Gongjinhyang range, I also brought home The History of Whoo‘s two must-have products: Bichup Soon Hwan Essence and Bichup Ja Saeng Essence, as well as the Essential Massage Mask that comes with its own traditional Oriental massaging tool!
The beautiful products sitting on my vanity shelf makes my room look extra luxurious! I love the royal and regal packaging.
The magic behind The History of Whoo is its rich traditional core of herbal ingredients to balance our “Qi”, and blood circulation, inducing self-healing and self-regeneration for our skin!
It is the secret herbal formula known as the Gongjinbidan (供辰秘丹) Complex (yes, it is a magic elixir formula!) present in all The History of Whoo’s skincare and makeup products, formulated by combining 6 different precious herbs; Siberian Deer Antler, Angelica Roots, Cornelian Cherries, Acanthopanax Root Bark, Asparagus Roots and Wild Thyme.
Through modern technologies, The History of Whoo created a single complex that increases energy flow in the skin while balancing the Yin and Yang energy, improving every product’s efficacy while inducing self-regeneration by triggering skin cell activities.
Let me first share the Korean royal court beauty secrets with all of you by introducing their must-have items: Bichup Soon Hwan Essence and Bichup Ja Saeng Essence!
These two products are essential to any skincare routine to aid self-healing and fight aging!
Bichup Soon Hwan Essence // SGD$122 (85ml)
The History of Whoo’s must-have first care essence. Contains multiple herbal complexes that synergizes one other to improve Qi & Blood circulation, reduces facial water retention and delivers clear skin with vitality.
Bishop Soon Hwan Essence is the first step in my skincare routine! Two pumps of this essence absorbs easily into my skin. Soon Hwan Essence consists of 6 oriental herbs to improve blood circulation to enable detox! The texture is very light-weight, with a mild floral scent. It is also supposed to aid the efficacy of all other products used after this!
Bichup Ja Saeng Essence:
The History of Whoo’s world-wide best-selling essence. Formulated with multiple powerful and effect herbal complexes, this essence also contains Plant Placenta derivatives, the main ingredient that provides energy for skin to self-recognize individual skin concerns and activateright skin cells for self-heal/repair.
I love the Ja Saeng Essence, one pump of it is sufficient for my entire face, and it has a gel-like consistency that melts into my skin! My skin immediately feels more hydrated, supple and plump after application.
Here are the other products from the Gongjinhyang range that I’ve been using in conjunction with Bichup Soon Hwan Essence and Ja Saeng Essence!
In Yang Balancer is an ultra-moisturizing & concentrated skin softener that replenishes nutrition while rehydrating skin which help to maintain soft & moist skin
Qi & Jin Essence is a moisturizing, lifting and firming essence that improves skin elasticity and radiance while replenishing skin nutrition. It also contains Natural Olive Oil and Aloeswood which helps to seal in moisture for a longer period of time and improve Collagen synthesis respectively.
In Yang Lotion provides gloss and life to skin by supplying sufficient nourishment and moisture. By penetrating deep into the skin, In Yang Lotion keeps your skin clean and healthy.
Qi & Jin Cream is a hydrating, anti-aging moisturizing cream that restores skin moisture and nutrition while improving skin elasticity. Secret Court ingredients nourishes skins with energy from the deep inside.
Qi & Jin Eye Cream is a cream firms the skin around eyes that has thin layers of skin with more tendency to wrinkle. Qi & Jin Eye Cream solve the problem of wrinkles around eyes with excellent wrinkle free ingredients.
I love the entire Gongjinhyang range, and after religiously using it day and night for the past two weeks, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in my skin! My skin is more hydrated and plump, and it also looks healthier and more radiant now!
With just light makeup on 🙂 I feel that my skin texture has also become more refined and supple!
One last product from The History of Whoo that I use twice a week and love is the Essential Massage Mask!
This traditional Oriental massage mask is a hydrating anti-aging gel massage mask that incorporates 5000-year-old Meridian Scraping massage techniques to improve skin elasticity.
This product is meant to be used as a massage gel on your face, along with a traditional rosewood “gua sha” tool to help to massage your face to improve the elasticity of your skin, aid blood circulation, detoxify lymphatic nodes, and reduce water retention!
It can be used on the forehead, along the jaw line, on the sides of your face, and even under your chin!
I like to use it along my jaw especially, it feels really comfortable and therapeutic and I like to visualise my face become smaller and more defined as I use it!
Massaging your face regularly is supposed to help with firming and lifting as well so that your skin doesn’t show signs of aging, such as loose and saggy skin.
What I love about the Essential Massage Mask is that you don’t have to rinse it off after you use it! Just pat off any excess with a tissue and leave it on overnight. I always wake up to even smoother and more moisturised skin the following day!
I’m definitely in love with The History of Whoo!
So pleased with the results I’ve been seeing from using The History of Whoo, and looking forward to achieving even more radiant and beautiful skin!
