πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Universal Studio Japan! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

Dear Dayre,

#yinagoestojapan

The day does not bode well 😭
Express pass tickets are sold out at Lawson and online for today!!! Not sure if that means I won't be able to get them from USJ directly but nonetheless we have bought the 1-day studio pass from Lawson and we are making our way to USJ now.

There's a cute little machine where you can buy the tickets from but take note that it is in Japanese and you either need to smoke your way through or get help from the staff πŸ˜‚

Here's our one day studio passes which cost us 14,400 yen for two pax.

On the train towards USJ now!!

We were quite lost and clueless at the train station. First we tried to buy tickets but realized we were on the wrong level (different level different train line so you can only buy the corresponding tickets on the right level)

Good thing we found ourselves at the right ticketing machines and then a kind Japanese soul helped us purchase the tickets! Arigatogozaimasu!

Yeyyy we managed to get our express passes inside of USJ!

Dressed for my Harry Potter land today lol black so that I can look sort of legit πŸ˜‚

Please ignore the couple photobombing us.

USJ is so cute! Everyone is dressed in costumes and groups of friends and classmates are all in matching costumes. They really very effort.

They gave me these rubber bands to secure my shoes to my feet so they don't fly off during the roller coaster ride πŸ˜‚

So much effort to dress up, right?

It's also Halloween season going on now and there's a lot of park-goers with Halloween costumes and special effects makeup already!

Hello, Kitty!

I used to be a big Kitty fan in my childhood!

Angel Halloween outfit?

Cute little kids!

Teeheeeeee we spent 5,300 yen on each minion sweater 😟

This place is a money-sucking wonderland!!!

The queues for the minion-themed food carts was SOOOOOO long!

Minion stewed pork bun and some mochi cream thing!

The bun cost 500yen.

Ok laahhhh tasted pretty good.

We actually dabao-ed Mos Burger in before we entered USJ in the morning, so we didn't have any actual meals in the restaurants inside USJ. Save some money right?

It's really not cheap: our entry pass + express passes for 5 rides already cost us about 300SGD!

The merchandise here is quite pricey too. Will try to control myself when we step into Harry Potter land later. Our timed entry ticket is at 4.30PM!

Can't wait 😍😍😍😍😍

Although we got the express 5 ticket, some rides aren't covered under the express pass, and we actually queued up ONE ENTIRE HOUR for the Hollywood Backdrop roller coaster ride!

😳

I swear I was falling asleep in the queue because it started getting very sunny and hot. And I woke up at 6.30am so I was super sleepy!

BUT it was worth it. It was SOOO fun!!

I love how the ride blasts music from speakers right behind you! And the view of the entire park was so magnificent from high up!

😁😁😁😁😁

Look what I spotted on my way to visit Harry Potter.. A wild flying Ford Angelia!

Hogsmeade!

Super crowded as you can see. By the way, the Harry Potter ride was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!

I can die with no regrets now guys. At the very least I've lived and breathed Harry Potter for two hours and also tried Butter Beer 🍻 (which by the way, is very sweet!!)

And I kept my money to myself too all I bought was this special butter beer mug which cost like 1200 yen with the drink! ☺️

There's more cool snippets on my snapchat so hop over to view ok! Too tired to post now haha it's 1am already and we are moving off to Kyoto tomorrow so I gotta wake up early! 😳

It was a great day!!!
