Dear Dayre,

3.50am and on zee way to Changi Airport! Our adventure is starting soon… 😍 Feels surreal hehe. #yinagoestojapan again!

You know I hardly get to travel with YZ so it's extra special with him around! ☺️

Two drifters, off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to see 😍

We're after the same rainbow's end ❀️

LOOK WHAT I SAW! Inside Out plushies aiyoooooooo so cute!

Our breakfast at 4.45am hahaha the best kinda breakfast Yakun Kaya Toast with soft boiled eggs! Milo for me and coffee for YZ ☺️

Because @trishaliang said that United Airlines food is terrible and warned us to go onboard prepared πŸ˜‚

Oh oh I'm testing out my Olympus 12-40mm pro lens and this is taken with the lens at 40mm! Not bad I must say πŸ‘πŸ»βœ¨

Be back in seven hours time! So high on sugar and excitement but I think I need to get some sleep on the flight!! πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ»

View from above the clouds up up up in the skies! Managed to catch a bit of the sunrise but I think I was on the wrong side of the plane..

The flight was quite sucky though. Leg room sucks and the food was meh. You pay for what you get I suppose? Two tickets for $987.. Mai hiam liao~

πŸ˜‚

Went to JR office to get our JR passes! I'm pretty sure this is the same lady who served @evonnz @trishaliang and I when we did the same thing in April!

Here you go~

Success!

First time doing it by myself though fourth time in Japan πŸ˜‚ and now.. It's a five hour long journey to Osaka from Narita Airport! Looks like we're only gonna reach our hotel around 8pm.

That's damn faaaaaaaaast πŸš„πŸ’¨πŸ’¨πŸ’¨

I'm so happy I get to drink my fruit water already! 18kcals for this bottle. Worth it I say.

Today's weather is very rainy but the weather forecast is looking good for tomorrow! Had a taste of the cool 18 deg weather (due to the rain) today which was a nice change from Singapore's hazy humidity.

After trekking through the streets with our luggages for half an hour at least.. Guess who's happily checked into their hotel!!

We're staying at Hotel Kuramoto for the next two nights and this place is so quaint and old-fashioned! Ran by a few kindly and elderly obasans and the decor looks like it hasn't changed in the last twenty years.

Gonna rest for a bit before heading out to Dotonburi whoop whoop!

Need I say more 😍😍😍

Takoyaki is ultra delicious in Osaka and cannot be compared to Singapore's!

We easily polished off a boat of 10 balls hahaha! 10 for 700 yen! I was contemplating getting just five but YZ was so hungry that he was getting grumpy already lol. And since we queued for about 15 minutes, I suppose it makes it more worth while to order 10.

This stall is legittttt. It's the one right across the bridge from Ichiran! The last time I was in Osaka, we tried the takoyaki from two different stalls and this particular one was really yummy. No wonder the queue for it is always longer than the others!

After the takoyaki to curb our hunger pangs, we went walking about and found this yakitori izakaya that looked really good. Went in on impulse and ordered more than we intended to, but no regrets because it was delicious!

All the yakitori was prepared on-the-spot after ordering, and it had the irresistible texture and flavour of being freshly grilled and so well-seasoned!

A glass of umeshu between the two of us helped to wash down the savoury and salty food 😍

Total bill was like 2,000++?

We ordered:
Tori karaage
Grilled Pork belly
Handmade chicken balls <– da bombz
Grilled chicken wings
Umeshu

Everything was good! But the handmade chicken balls were crazy! They practically fell apart and melted in our mouths, bursting with flavour!

We carried on strolling around Dotonbori and accidentally ended up at the Japanese version of Mustafa: Don Quijote, also known as Donki!

Bought me some contact lenses and also snacks πŸ™Š @trishaliang was looking for the sour cream and onion jagabee and we found it at Donki!

Gudetama is super popz and I saw this super cute Gudetama candy haha! Wonder what it really looks like!

Not sure how we made space for it but since it was midnight already and there was no more queue at Ichiran… We decided to YOLO and order a bowl to share!

Song bo.

Ichiran is one of those slightly overhyped and yet can't be missed restaurants when you visit Japan because there's just something very comforting about its taste and broth!

Good night Glico man!

Because it's 2.30am now and I want to be up at 6.30am tomorrow so we can head down to USJ bright and early (I haven't bought tickets!) Hope nothing screws up for tomorrow's USJ plans πŸ™πŸ»

Oyasuminasai! πŸŒ™
