#lessaltchallenge begins!

Dear Dayre,

Good morningggg I wanted to update yesterday but other things got in the way!

If you see me somewhere and ask me "what's up?" I'll probably say oh nothing much just the usual. Which means TVD photo shoots and launches, choir rehearsals and all that (concert on 5 Sep), GetKlarity work on Wednesdays, plus events here and there and also still trying to spend time with my hubs and our families. And also my dogs that I always look forward to seeing whenever I go back home to ๅจ˜ๅฎถ.

Silly hubs sucking in his tummy for a photo LOL ๐Ÿ˜‚

But in other news, I just started my 13 day #lesssaltchallenge, with @lesssaltdietsg!! ๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿป You can find them on IG.

You know I'm always interested to try different diets and programmes since weight loss is so ingrained in me already and I'm always trying to lose a bit of weight ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lesssaltdiet sounded super interesting because I know for sure that I eat A LOT of salt (I'm the kind that adds extra soy sauce or fish sauce into my food) and I do suffer from water retention which can get very bad at times!

Also, I am a lazy eater and usually I just eat whatever I see around the house, be it healthy or not. Though if I end up eating junk I feel damn guilty afterwards.

So lesssaltdietsg (this name is so hard to type) has a 13 day no salt diet programme where lunch and dinner is catered to your doorstep every single day for 13 days!

Perfect for lazy eaters like me since I don't have to even think about eating healthy, I just eat what's right in front of me ๐Ÿ˜‚

The meals are already prepared healthily based on the Mayo Diet and is a gluten free diet as well!

There's no rice but there are other forms of carbs in this diet like sweet potatoes, cassava etc.

You still have to take care of your own breakfast since the programme only caters lunch and dinner! This is the breakfast guide for when you're on lesssaltdiet, sounds simple enough!

This was my first day lunch: tempe orak arik (indonesian style tempeh), stir fry long beans, roasted pumpkin and almond pudding with chia seed

Despite being cooked with no salt at all, I found it very tasty especially the super sweet roasted pumpkin! My tastebuds had to adjust a bit because the food doesn't taste as salty or oily as the usual "outside food" but I enjoyed the meal still!

Surprisingly, the tempeh was very filling and I was quite satisfied after my lunch.

Went down to Salon Vim after I finished lunch and got my hair trimmed abit plus a new hair color!!!

I refreshed my base color and got some lighter highlights done but apparently it's so subtle no one can tell except me. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Can tell???

Dinner: Salmon with mashed potatoes and acai berry salad ๐Ÿ˜‹

I notice that lesssaltdiet uses a lot of other herbs and spices to create flavorful meals without salt! Which is really good ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Itadakimasu! I was quite surprised at the generous serving of mash potatoes actually. Never associated potatoes with diet before ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyways, lesssaltdiet has kindly sponsored me for this programme but I don't get paid and everything I write is of my own accord so stay tuned while I get through these 13 days and hopefully see some really good results!

I'm already 300g down from Day 1, surprisingly, because I even cheated (had to go join YZ family for some 7-month dinner and ate abit)

My claim to fame for the night. Attended Coach's re-opening party and met JAY PARK!

Woahhhh his fans are crazy. They were waiting outside the store and screaming their lungs out ๐Ÿ˜จ More on my snapchat haha

With my girls @evonnz and @melissackoh!

I can't imagine attending events by myself anymore it really makes every event 10x better when you're with gfs you're actually close to. Thankful for my girlfriends ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

This is today's lesssaltdiet lunch!!

Potato egg omelette with blanched broccoli and carrots, achar and almonds! So healthy heh. The broccoli and carrots were quite tasteless but the sweet and spicy achar and omelette were yummy!

Somehow not as filling as yesterday's tempeh hmmmmm. But I'm trying to be as good as possible and not snack or eat unhealthily!

Dinner is minced chicken salad with sweet corn, cai xin and starfish! It's my first time trying starfish actually! It kind of tastes like apple but a little more tangy!

For not having salt, I actually find the food pretty tasty. I usually get my shiok taste receptors going from salt so it's quite an adjustment for me to enjoy non-salty food!

I find the veggies blandest so I do try to alternate my bites of food, veggies followed by sweet corn followed by the chicken followed by starfish!

HAHAHAHA yes I meant star fruit dunno what my brain doing I wasn't concentrating on what I was typing!! Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks for correcting me, girls ๐Ÿ˜‚

I have this problem of typing one thing when I mean another thing especially if they start with the same syllable.

For instance I always want to type photoshop instead of maybe photoshoot and my fingers auto completes the word before my brain registers it.

๐Ÿ˜“

Retarded fingers and brain.

Second dinner time with @jaynetham @evonnz @withlovetricia!!!

Yes I'm supposed to have had dinner already. But it's a belated celebration for Jayne's birthday!!! ๐Ÿ˜

Today super chui no makeup. It's ok cos real friends don't judge you ๐Ÿ˜‚

Before I forget… My favourite classy ensemble now online on @thevelvetdolls! ๐Ÿ˜ Love this peplum bustier and palazzo pants. You can go check out the new arrivals on www.thevelvetdolls.sg!

Don't forget you can use 'FB5OFF' for 5% off your orders still!!

The bustier comes in three colors ๐Ÿ˜ It's really elegant and beautiful!

Some other new arrivals to check out!

๐Ÿ˜˜โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป All of them so pretty BTH.

Birthday girl and her makeshift cake!

The food at Equilibrium (Capitol Building at Cityhall) is really very good!!

I especially loved:
Mozerella Cheese Balls
La Bombette meat skewers (OMG. Pork belly wrapped around Parmesan and minced meat, we loved this)
At Dusk Pizza (runny egg, truffle paste, mushrooms and coppa ham)
Panna Cotta Nascosto (almond milk panna cotta with cocoa jelly and blood orange granita)

๐Ÿ˜‹ Tomorrow back to regular programming on lesssaltdiet yah.

Treating my skin to a fresh LUSH mask that I've been loving: Oatifix!

It looks totally gross like I put puke on my face but smells really good (contains banana, oatmeal and almonds) and helps to sooth and hydrate my skin, I feel!

It's supposed to be good for dry and sensitive skin like mine and might not work on oily/combi skin types in case you were thinking of trying it.

I've also tried LUSH's BB Seaweed but Oatifix is still my favourite!

Getting into bed right after I rinse my mask off. It's a long Wednesday as usual from 10.30am to 10.30pm!

Oh the new Dayre camping feature is really cute!! Time to start camping for other Dayre-ian's updates, and I see some Dayre-ians camping for my updates too! ๐Ÿ™Š

And thanks for making my night, @pxttyxng! ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป So happy to read your sweet compliments and it's my honour to be able to impact you in one way or other. Plus thank you for supporting TVD! ๐Ÿ˜˜ I'm lucky to have readers like you!

Good day at work, cosy dinner with friends, yummy food, and sweetest kind of people around me. I can go to bed happy now ๐Ÿ˜‚
