๐ŸŽŒโœจ Goodbye, Japan!

Dear Dayre,

This is #yinagoestojapan Day 7, aka 2nd last day of Japan!

Sigh… The weather was just gloomy and rainy ๐Ÿ˜”

But it gave me an excuse to wear my brand new wellies.. AND carry my new umbrella! *shrugs*

Might as well right?

My pink coat and denim skirt are from Rosebullet! And carried my Longchamp for being the most hardy in rain. Haha

View from Meguro train station!

Oh oh oh. We found these pine berries or white strawberries at the supermarket at Meguro, for like 1700ยฅ! Think @Evonnz saw them berries sold in SG for like.. Five times the price?!

It's so cute!

Taste wise.. I was expecting it to be sweeter ๐Ÿ˜ก But it was.. Just a very creamy texture and not that sweet? Or maybe it just wasn't strawberry season cuz the regular red strawbies we bought weren't very sweet either!

Story goes.. We wanted to go to Yokohama to visit the Cup Noodle Museum! Woke up happily and made our way to Yokohama (which is like a 45 mins journey IIRC)… Got distracted by Hands Be (smaller version of Tokyu Hands) and then walked our way to Cup Noodle Museum in the rainy weather..

To reach and find out that Cup Noodle Museum was closed on Tuesdays ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜ญ

Ok none of us checked. #fail

So second time still unlucky (first time we went to Yokohama didn't make it in time cos we went washi expo and had brunch and were busy taking photos so it was too late to enter the museum when we were done.

Disappointed! But we consoled ourselves hahaha cos we did buy some random stuff at Hands Be so it wasn't a completely wasted morning in Yokohama!

Inside Hands Be where we spent a good 45 mins to an hour.. lol~ The girls never get enough of stationary shopping!

Keep calm and carry on with the rest of the plans for the day…

So we took the train to Jiyugaoka for next part of our timetable: CRAFTHOLIC OUTLET STORE!

Jiyugaoka is a really nice area, it's sort of suburban but with lots of little shops and boutiques and cafes along all its little streets!

Beautiful streets

HELLO CHEAP CRAFTHOLIC.

It's like dirt cheap! The bedroom slippers are 400ยฅ. That's less than five dollars gaiz!!!

And the small pouches and cases and etc were selling for maybe 700ยฅ? Those in the picture are 750ยฅ, less than ten bucks. In SG it's probably closer to twenty bucks!

See that cushion at the bottom left? @evonnz bought it!!

We were all like "BUY FIRST, THINK ABOUT LUGGAGE SPACE LATER"

Past-season plushies just waiting to be picked up!

And then from outlet we moved over to the regular outlet LOL.

Which was a few streets away but still in the same area of Jiyu-gaoka ๐Ÿ˜

As if not enough. And there were even prettier things!!! Still cheaper than SG too.

There was a hanging chandelier made up of Craftholic bunnies wtf can it be any cuter?

Gosh everything in the store was so pastel and colorful! And @trishaliang pretty much went crazy when she saw that they were selling craftholic washi tape!

Gonna carry on in the morning, tireddddd! Be back soon!

After a lot of excitement at the two craftholic stores, we decided we needed some substanance (FOOD) and to rest our legs for a bit.. Stumbled upon this little cafe that looked really good so off we went in for tea break!

I REALLY liked this strawberry cake thingy! It was so light and delicious ๐Ÿ˜

Took these photos to show YZ some of the cute craftholic stuff I bought for our room lol. This one to hold our remote controllers! Tho I think it's actually a phone holder #alsocanlah

Bought cute pencil/card cases for a couple of my friends as gifts ๐Ÿ˜

Pretty much what we looked like with all our Craftholic purchases haha.

This was our last night in Japan and I still haven't bought YZ anything!!!

I intended to go check out vintage bag shops for myself too but… Left one night, no time to do both can only choose one!

So I told the girls I wanted to go to Burberry Black Label to check it out. Which happens to be near Shibuya area again and we went back at night to Shibuya.. Again!

But anyway Shibuya is huge, really ่ตฐไธๅฎŒ็š„!

I was looking at wallets cos YZ's current wallet is starting to show wear and tear.. And since Burberry Black is only available in Japan, can buy first and keep for use after he retires the current wallet!

Took me so damn long to pick a design for him. But in the end I picked a dark brown wallet that has navy blue Burberry prints at the side! Similar to the one in this photo except the color is different.

๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Mission accomplished lol.

For our last night in Japan, we picked SUKIYAKI/SHABU SHABU BUFFET ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

It was a random walk-in at Shibuya cos we saw the signage and thought it looked decent!

The restaurant is called Nabezo at Shibuya, above the Disney store (same building)

Free-flow Japanese beef and pork 90 mins, for 3,400ยฅ?

#JUSTTAKEMYMONEYANDLETMEEAT

We were sooooo hungry cos we didn't have any real "proper" meals that day. And the meat was really good! ๐Ÿ˜ It was so tender and soft omg. And in huge thin slices!

I love sukiyaki so it was pure heaven for me ๐Ÿ˜

Just look at all that luscious meat.. FREE FLOW.

If I know that I only have one last day on earth before I die, this is what I will do.

Eat hotpot (can be Haidilao, Sukiyaki or whatever, doesn't matter) with ALL my family and friends around me laughing and talking and enjoying good food, and then let me die with a happy and full stomach.

๐Ÿ˜‚

Really I think that's what I would do.

We had a lot of trouble that night packing our luggages. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

Imagine @trishaliang bought TWO craftholic cushions!!!

Luckily, @evonnz came prepared and she brought these compression bags bought from Daiso (Singapore)!

You just have to squeeze the hell out of it and it will stay magically compressed… Like.. Vacuum-packed bakkwa!

Hahaha so magical!

I didn't have any compression bags but I'm pretty good at fitting all my stuff into my luggage.. It's kind of like playing a 3D jigsaw puzzle!

Apt sticker to use hahahahahah

I was very angryyyy on the day we departed. Because.. LOOK AT THE WEATHER. It was super duper good weather!! Blue skies, sunny, windy. Why couldn't we have had this on previous daysssss you tell me. Why, Japan, why?

*cue ๆˆ‘้—ฎๅคฉ๏ผŒๆˆ‘้—ฎๅคฉ*

Pardon our morning puffy faces. This is three girls with three very overweight luggages, one cabin luggage, and two big carry-ons.

How we can all fit into one taxi is a miracle. One that we have performed multiple times in Japan. Lol.

Ok the trick is to.. Two luggages in the car boot, one luggage in front, and one more squeezing with us three girls in the back seat.

It fits!!!!!

Basically the smallest person (aka @Evonnz) gets to squeeze with the luggage hahahaha

Took a taxi to Shibuya where we deposited the luggage for 500ยฅ a piece with the hotel concierge as we were taking the airport limo bus from there in the afternoon. Whole long story happened that wasted us at least thirty minutes of precious shopping time but I shan't elaborate.

After which we chionged down to Shibuya for all our last-minute shopping!

We had to pop by the supermarket at the basement for the caramelised baked sweet potatoes one last time.. I almost regret not buying a few more to just dabao back to SG!

Last minute shopping at the drugstore for all the stuff we wanted to get (or get more of)!

Random drugstore items that included
Contact lens
Eye drops
Hair wax
Skincare products
Throat lozenges medicine
???? I don't know what else but we sure spent a lot of time buying down half the drugstore!

Just from the last drugstore visit hahaha I went overboard with these hair wax that come in solid form cos they are gonna be soooo convenient for me during photoshoots and choir concerts!

You just need to "bua" it over all those annoying baby hair to keep it neat and tidy!

Bought more so I can give them to my choir gfs and keep it in office for shoot time ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

*Though I haven't tried it yet hahaa*

That last ootd because the weather was just so good I couldn't not take one. Thanks @trishaliang ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

My initial plan was to pop by Omotesando to rush over to the vintage shop Qoo, but we got so delayed at Shibuya that it would be way too hectic.. So I had to give it a miss! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I was feeling slightly disappointed cos I was looking forward to checking out the vintage shop to see if I could get a good buy.

But as luck would have it, on our way back to Shibuya station, @trishaliang and I just happened to pass by Daikokuya, another pre-owned shop! So I thought okay let's take a quick look!

Ended up seeing this pre-owned vintage Chanel…. And the price was really quite reasonable!

THIS BABY WAS MEANT TO BE MINE ๐Ÿ˜

I did deliberate for a bit before I paid for it, cos after all this is a WANT and not a NEED….

But I know I very probably wouldn't get myself a brand new Chanel bcos it's just way too outrageously priced for me, and I've always liked their vintage models more. So…..

Sent a photo to my gfs and they say can buy, good deal! LOL ok can #TAKEMYMONEYAGAIN

@evonnz: "If Yina don't buy then I buy!"

This Japan really…

But you know that feeling when you're overseas and you see something you really like. If you don't get it you are so gonna regret it when you fly back to Singapore.

โœจ Pretty good condition
โœจ Reasonable price
โœจ Unique vintage design that can't be found on current models
โœจ Small but roomy, perfect for me!

Hehehhee walked out of the shop feeling so happy ๐Ÿ˜†

We ๅคงๅŒ…ๅฐๅŒ… rushed back to the hotel to wait for our airport limo! Sigh… So fast departing Japan le. I couldn't believe the 8 days were over so fast! ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”

We were waiting for the airport limo at an open-air pick up point and OMFG, the wind suddenly acted up and it was insaneeee!!

The weather forecast said "Windy", but we definitely weren't expecting THIS.

Look at @trishaliang behind me and her hair flying hahaha she looks like she got hadouken-ed ๐Ÿ˜‚

The wind really like free one. Just keep blowing and blowing only! ๐Ÿ˜จ Lol so funny I just stand there and snapchat while @trishaliang and @Evonnz struggled with their luggages wahahahaha #badfriend

Good bye Japan!!!! But… Not before more last minute shopping.. at the airport!!

And… This is the amount of snacks I bought from the Airport! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

It was so embarrassing because I could not walk through the aisle without my bags of snacks bumping into the seats left and right.

Thank god the kind ANA air stewardess took pity on me and helped me with a couple of the bags so that I could get through the aisle at normal speed and not hold up all the passengers behind me!!!

Our last drink in Japan: the Starbucks special of the week! Just so happened this special drink started on the day we left. @trishaliang was so excited about it and we went to Narita Airport Starbucks specially for this!!

If it came out earlier I think @trishaliang and I would be drinking it daily instead of fruit flavored water lol.. It was so yummy! A yogurt drink with pieces of nuts and crunchy bits in it and strawberry jam jelly ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Japan, why U so awesome?

Ending with this unglamorous video of me staggering under the weight of my carry-on + snacks + shopping ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Waited til I was the last one before I dared to move out of the plane if not confirm traffic jam.

And the ANA air stewardesses were really nice and helped me again! I think they were laughing at how much I bought.. No joke, it's $200 over dollars worth of snacks!
