Sorry, been bit slow with the updates. Catching up now since I have some spare time, waiting for YZ to pick me up!
So the first thing I did on Thursday was.. To drop my phone into half a cup of water. WHAT.
Thankfully only the top half of my phone got submerged in water when the phone plonked into my cup and I VERY FASTERLY snatched my phone out immediately and…
Phew. My phone is still working so far 😅😅😅
*THIS IS NOT A VIDEO*
If you're wondering what my phone was doing on top of my cup in the first place.. I was trying to put the phone on video mode so that I could see what the background looked like for recording a video. #toosmartformyowngood
The background behind this video is that I wanted to try using the new Beats headphones to record a song into my computer, for better sound quality compared to just playing music from open speakers and singing along. So basically I played the music into my headphones and then recorded a separate track with only my voice.. Geddit?
Wanted to do it with my recording mic but that's in office, so I had to make do with the in-built mic on my MacBook, which wasn't too shabby!
I posted some snippets of the song on Instagram, though I don't think it's that good, meh. Maybe I'll give it another try soon!
And then I realised that when I post singstagram videos….
I get people unfollowing me 😐
Really, I just happened to check the number of followers I had before I posted the videos (which was at night) and the following morning, and SEVEN people unfollowed me lol 😅
Maybe it's because of my irritating singstagrams or maybe not. It's sad to see followers go, but I'm happier to post whatever I wish to post whether or not I'll lose followers. So!!!! 不要管这么多啦.
Because I have too many positive things to be thankful for, such as the amazing friendships I have made online.
Whoever would have thought the internet could be such a powerful tool?
Take @jazreeltan for example.
I'm not sure how we turned from online acquaintances to real life friends, but it took like 3 years after knowing each other to finally meet up for the first time! Which was like some time last year or something.
Then this girl is so busy we hardly get a chance to coordinate our schedules, because she is the brain and hands behind Sensibar, which has made a booming name for itself with its beautiful handmade customized jewelry!
Texted her on Thursday morning to congratulate her because the deserving girl won a FREE TRIP TO MELBOURNE PLUS DIVING EXPERIENCE PLUS NIKON DSLR?!!! From radio contest somemore wtf. Where got so good one you tell me!!!
And in the short span of like a few minutes, this happened:
We should win award for fastest decision making ever 😂
Also win awards for worst planners ever. 😂😂😂
So we wham bam thank you mam and tadaaaa met up that very afternoon!
I squeezed in some time before meeting Jaz to go for my monthly appointment at #IDSclinic, and even did a micro-laser on my skin!
It's currently a bit peely now. Supposed to remove the top layer of dead skin to give me brighter skin and more even skin texture! Can't wait to see how it fares after a few more days.
@jazreeltan and I decided upon Drury Lane!
Happily looking at the selection of teas on display. Before we realised that's not the selection available for ordering but for purchase by the tin 😂
Our "first course": grilled chicken melts with mushrooms and a sausage on the side.
The grilled chicken melts was good and we both loved the shrooms! But the sausage, meh. It's made in-house but tasted dry and bland. I was expecting something juicier and tastier.
Course 2 😂
Salted caramel chocolate tart!
And then we ordered another two portions of shrooms and one more portion of scrambled eggs 🙈
The tart was super oozy btw. Tasted very good with the tart shell! I dabao-ed for YZ and he couldn't stop raving about it.
It was sucha awesome catchup session!
I am so grateful for each and every one of my friendships.
Even though this annoying @jazreeltan kept on bugging me to remember to file my tax. 😂 FILE LIAO LAH.
Spotted this on a table at Drury Lane ☺️
