philosophy: hope in a jar night!

I love reading inspirational quotes: I think there’s something pretty addictive about reading them! Especially on days when you need a mood-lifter, or just positive thoughts to chase the blues away.

And needless to say, I love skincare and taking care of my skin with my daily routine everyday. It’s something very therapeutic to me because it’s one of those things that’s within your control. I can be lazy with many things, like putting on makeup, or dressing up, but I never ever NOT ensure that I put on my skincare day and night! Trust me, skincare is really very very important, especially if you’re in your mid-20s already like I am.

So when I first started noticing philosophy, I was both intrigued and amazed!

philosophy: to believe is to perceive the miraculous. the miracle of the experience is a chance to live, laugh, love and learn. believe in living. life is a series of moments: happy, difficult, peaceful—cherish them all. believe in joy. hope is renewed in a shared laugh or a warm smile. believe in love. it costs nothing to be kind, compassionate, forgiving and charitable with our words and actions. believe in learning. being open to new opportunities amounts to a truly miraculous perception of the world. believe in you. the miracle of the dream is believing in yourself. when you believe in miracles, you discover the miraculous is all around you.”

Inspirational skincare is what philosophy is all about, and I really love the vision behind philosophy, which is to deliver scientifically-proven skincare products with a dose of inspiration for better living! Great skin care for better skin, and inspirational quotes for better days. What a wholesome approach!

Everything about the brand exemplifies this approach, from the way only lower case letters are used, to the simple typographic packaging and the use of children’s photos, to remind us to live life with curiosity, wisdom and joy, like a little child. I love just how philosophical it is! (Pun intend teehee)

Aren’t you captivated yet? 😉

I received an entire range of philosophy’s best-selling hope in a jar, and was so psyched to start exploring these products! Don’t you just love the name already?

hope in a jar is very popular in the US, and has even been featured on The Oprah Show before! Woaaaa.

story of hope: hope in a jar was created for the medical market and recommended by plastic surgeons and dermatologists to hydrate, whilehelping to improve the look of wrinkles, roughness and uneven tone. it goes beyond moisture to gently exfoliate and deliver cutting-edge antioxidants for a healthy-looking, rosy glow, with its unique souffle texture, all you need is hope.”

I seriously love philosophy’s creative team that comes up with all these amazing names and text. They make me want to read every single line on the packaging! Genius.

The latest addition to philosophy’s hope in a jar is hope in a jar night!

We all know that beauty sleep isn’t called beauty sleep without a reason: our body repairs and rejuvenates itself best during the night, when we are resting and asleep!

Nighttime is our skin’s best opportunity for renewal, and the perfect time to use more intensive skin care treatments, such as hope in a jar night!

hope in a jar night is an intense retexturing moisturiser that features an innovative qusome delivery system that enhances efficacy, while limiting the potential for irritation. Skin is noticeably smoother, lines are visibly softened, a rosy glow is restored and results continue to improve with nightly use.

“to dream in hope is to wake to limitless possibility”

Can’t stop gushing about the philosophical quote, it is so apt! I like how it can be applied both figuratively as an inspirational quote, and literally, to dream in hope (by applying hope in a jar night on your skin) to allow yourself to wake up to limitless possibility (like amaaaazing skin! I want!).

hope in a jar night comes in a simple black tub which helps me to easily differentiate it from its “sister”, hope in a jar oil-free gel.

Wake to more radiant, refreshed skin with this night version of philosophy’s much-loved hope in a jar moisturizer. The gentle formula boosts nighttime renewal to retexturize skin, as it plumps the appearance of fine lines and evens skintone. Patented qusomes help deliver potent glycolic acid to the skin, while gradual-release technology minimizes the potential for irritation. With regular use, skin becomes noticeably smoother, lines are visibly softened, and your rosy glow is restored.

This may be weird to mention, but I like how easy to open the seal is! It’s so annoying when products are sealed for hygiene purposes which is great but they end up being extremely difficult to open. No issues with this one here!

The texture of hope in a jar night is silky and smooth, and is quite thick. It takes awhile for the cream to absorb and sit in after application, but I have got to say, my skin really feels intensely moisturised right after application! I also love the velvety smooth finish of the cream which leaves my skin feeling luxuriously pampered!

hope in a jar night also contains glycolic acid that is slowly released into the skin to prevent irritation, and this actually helps to retexturise the skin to give you smoother skin, and to lessen the appearance of fine lines! 😀 There’s a very mild stinging sensation upon application, but it goes away shortly, and doesn’t irritating my sensitive and dry skin.

The other key ingredient, beta glucan also works on the skin’s natural cellular defence, rebuilding skin health for a rosy and fresh glow!

My skin has been really very dry ever since I started taking my acne medication, but hope in a jar night has been amazing so far, and really works overnight to moisturise my skin, and I wake up to skin that feels soft, plump and hydrated!

Of course, with smoother and well-moisturised skin, makeup goes on much better! I don’t have flaky bits around my nose and cheeks so much anymore, which is a real pain for makeup application. My skin looks so much better nowadays and I’m really thankful for it! Good skin and happiness really do go hand in hand 😉

With hope in a jar night, I can go to bed easy knowing that my skin is being taken good care of, while I rest my mind and re-energize my body for another day ahead!
