Product Review: Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil!

hello! i’m sure many of you have heard or even tried this super popular product: Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil! it’s not my first time using this product, I’ve heard so many raves about it previously i went out and bought a bottle for myself before and liked it very much!!!

i’m sure everyone knows how important cleansing is as a part of your skincare routine, by removing all traces of makeup and dirt from your face before you go to bed every night, you can prevent lots of problems caused by clogged pores from improper makeup removal, which will result in blackheads, whiteheads, acne, and worse! ):

i went for a skin check at FANCL’s Takashimaya Shopping Centre outlet, before collecting the Mild Cleansing Oil (MCO), and a series of tests were conducted on my skin… i was horrified to see how terrible my skin was loh!!! actually, it wasn’t thaaat bad, but when you see the close-up of your skin (pigmentation and blemishes and all) it is really really yucky :S

i was tested on both sides of my skin to find out my skin moisture level as well as elasticity and skin texture! woohoo. actually, i scored pretty okay for most of them! but for some reason, my skin is worse on my left side! both the moisture level and elasticity/softness level are significantly lower than on my right side. wonder why? ugh.. my pigmentation is damn gross though!! check out that close up picture above. yuckssss!

anyway, the SA explained alot about our skin and what causes problems like poor skin texture, pigmentation and unhealthy skin. it was a very informative skin check session! some important points i garnered from what the SA told me:

1. DRINK MORE WATER!!! (like duh. i drink very little water so that’s probably a major problem for me!)
2. Stay out of the sun, and remember to apply sunscreen to prevent your skin from UV damage!
3. Get sufficient rest during the right time (your body is detoxifying from 11PM-2AM daily, so you ought to be asleep before 11PM in order for optimal health!)
4. Be wary of improper skincare (no tugging and rubbing at your skin, and use the right products!)

the best thing about Fancl’s Mild Cleansing Oil, is that it’s free of preservatives, sterilizers, petroleum surfactants, mineral oil and fragrances! that makes it extremely mild, and very gentle on your skin!

at the same time, it also contains the following ingredients:
Meadow foam oil, which absorbs dirt and dissolves keratin plugs, keeping pores clear
Green tea catechin oil, an antioxidant that combats free radicals
Rosehip oil, which soothes skin during cleansing, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties

the SA did a demo for me at the store, by first applying mascara, lipstick and concealer to my hand, and then using MCO to gently cleanse it off! amazingly enough, ALL the make up came off with a couple minutes of gentle massaging and simple rinsing of water!!!

i attempted a similar experiment at home: by using my most waterproof Marjolica mascara (y’all should know how hard that thing is to get off your eyelashes), K-Palette eyeliner, and an eyeshadow!

here’s my hand, with three different kinds of makeup on it.

i used one pump of MCO, (which was too much for my hand actually!) and started massaging gently by rubbing in circular motions with my fingers!

the MCO is colorless, and fragrance free by the way! massage for a couple of minutes, and just rinse off with water! the oil will turn milky white from being emulsified, and it’s easy to rinse it off thoroughly after that.

after cleansing with the MCO, it leaves my skin soft and clean, without that uncomfortable feeling of the skin being stripped of moisture, like you get with cleansers that are too harsh!

i then tried the MCO on my face, and it worked just as well to remove my makeup thoroughly, leaving my face feeling baby soft!

close up, i removed my makeup on the left of my face, and you can see that all traces of my eye shadow, eye liner and mascara are all gone! not to mention my powder and foundation!

just to go through the steps again:
1) use 1-2 pumps of MCO, and massage gently all over your face, with circular motions, for a couple of minutes!
2) rinse off thoroughly with luke warm water!

usually, i’d use my regular cleanser after the MCO, in order to make sure my skin is cleansed thoroughly 🙂 so while your face is still wet, just use your regular cleanser to remove any residue of the cleansing oil, then wash off and pat your face dry with a towel!

i assure you, you’ll definitely feel the difference in your skin texture, like how i did mine! love the velvety baby soft texture after cleansing with MCO, no more uncomfortable tight or dry feeling! 😀 😀 😀
